Introduction
The Agriculture and Food Security Lab is offering an internship for bachelor's, master's students, or recent graduates to join as a Research Assistant. This role involves conducting primary research and surveys to assess the adoption rate and impact of precision agriculture technologies, such as drones and IoT sensors, on productivity and resource efficiency. It’s ideal for individuals interested in agricultural technology and food security.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct primary research and surveys on the adoption of precision agriculture technologies.
- Assess the impact of precision tools (e.g., drones, IoT sensors) on farm productivity and resource efficiency.
- Analyse data collected from surveys to identify adoption trends and technology benefits.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on research findings.
- Collaborate on projects related to food security and precision agriculture innovations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's student, or recent graduate in a relevant field (Agriculture, Environmental Science, Technology in Agriculture).
- Interest in precision agriculture technologies and food security.
- Experience or willingness to learn survey design and primary data collection methods.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
