Introduction

The Water and Blue Economy Lab is offering an internship for bachelor's, master's students, or recent graduates to join as a Research Assistant. This role involves conducting literature reviews and bibliometric analysis on practices and policies that support sustainable fishing and aquaculture while maintaining ecosystem health. It’s ideal for individuals interested in marine sustainability and fisheries management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review literature on sustainable fisheries and aquaculture practices.
  • Conduct bibliometric analysis to track key trends, policies, and contributors.
  • Summarise findings and identify gaps in sustainable fisheries research.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the lab team.
  • Collaborate on projects related to marine sustainability and the blue economy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, master's student, or recent graduate in a relevant field (Marine Science, Environmental Science, Fisheries Management).
  • Interest in sustainable fishing, aquaculture, and ecosystem health.
  • Experience or interest in literature reviews and bibliometric analysis.
  • Familiarity with research databases and tools (e.g., Scopus, VOSviewer).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
