Introduction
We are seeking a proactive Research Assistant to join our Energy Management and Cleantech Lab, focusing on the innovative design and simulation of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) using QBlade software. This position is ideal for engineering students or recent graduates eager to advance in renewable energy technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and simulate various configurations of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines using QBlade.
- Analyse simulation data to optimise turbine efficiency and performance.
- Work closely with engineering team members to interpret results and refine designs.
- Document all design processes and results comprehensively for team review.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for both internal reviews and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Enrolment in or recent graduation from a Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related degree program.
- Experience with QBlade or similar turbine simulation software is highly desirable.
- Strong interest in renewable energy solutions and sustainable practices.
Skills and Knowledge You Gain
